We've been shooting weddings for eleven years, but we didn't come up through the wedding industry — and honestly, that's probably for the best.

My wife and I run this business, and our story is a bit unusual. We were both teachers — I worked with high school dropouts for over ten years, and picked up a camera for the first time to document the lives of my students. Chela was a college and career readiness counselor who was committed to helping kids reach their potential.

Eleven years ago, we came to realize that our unusual background made us really well-suited to being in a room with people and helping them feel comfortable. Not by performing, not by directing — just by paying attention.

That's still how we shoot.

We're not interested in staging a moment that didn't happen, or coaching you into a pose that isn't how you actually stand together. We shoot the way we learned to see people in the first place — looking for what's real, what's funny, what's quiet, what's actually going on between the people in the room. If you want a wedding full of posed magazine shots, we're probably not your photographers. If you want someone who'll notice the moment your dad's hands are shaking while he adjusts your veil, or the way your groomsmen are actually cracking up about something off-camera, that's the kind of thing we're built to catch.

We offer gentle guidance when it's genuinely useful — nobody needs to be left standing awkwardly wondering what to do with their hands. But our priority is always to let real moments happen naturally, and be ready when they do.
